On Mathematical Equalities and Inequalities in the Life Table: Something Old and Something New

چکیده
Abstract This paper discusses known mathematical equalities and inequalities found within life tables proceeds to identify two new inequalities. The first (theorem 1) is that at any given age x, the sum of mean years lived remaining exceeds expectancy birth when greater than zero less maximum lifespan. second inequality 2) applies entire population shows birth. Illustrations are provided as well a discussion.

Infants face the paramount task of learning a language. Here, I review recent literature on two separate topics that suggest they use a combination of both evolutionarily old and new cognitive tools to face this task. Research on the principles that guide how humans and nonhuman animals group sequences of sounds has shown that we share with other species perceptual biases that we apply to lingu...

MacWhinney’s list of proposed mechanisms for language acquisition seems so all-encompassing that it might appear churlish to dwell on a mechanism that’s left out, but on his ultimate list of critical mechanisms there is an indeed an important (and intended) omission: innate, linguisticallyspecialized constraints. Such constraints are indeed mentioned, but if I understand the point of the articl...

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is a disease of the elderly: almost 70% of diagnoses are made in patients older than 65 years. This indolent lymphoproliferative disorder, manifested by a clonal expansion of mature but functionally defective lymphocytes, is one of the most common leukemias of adults in Western countries. The incidence rate is roughly 2-6 cases per 100,000 persons per year, an...
